Prototype Design and Layout

Express is a 180,000-circulation daily tabloid newspaper launched by the Washington Post Company in 2003. Miguel Buckenmeyer worked with Kelly Doe on developing the original prototype, focusing on type hierarchies, identity development and layout. Miguel also worked directly as a features and special projects designer for Express, prototyping new features sections as well as supplements and further developing Express’ front page.
